Acting classes for adults

Whether you're picking up acting for the first time, building on existing experience, or returning to the industry after time away, our adult classes offer something different: the chance to learn not just technique, but to become part of a creative community.

Classes are led by me, Matthew Bearne, an industry professional with over 40 years of experience. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, I've worked as a professional actor for 30 years and I also direct actors at Netflix, Disney and Sky; on revoicing and original content projects.
You are guaranteed to get the best possible actor training.

We will operate like a repertory company, where you grow alongside fellow actors, learning your craft whilst trusting your instincts, and building the confidence to own your space on any stage and screen.

Guided by my expertise and genuine passion for helping actors find their feet, you’ll leave each session not just with new skills, but with a real sense of connection and control of your craft.

• Scene study and text analysis across a range of periods and genres

• Stage and screen technique, including on-camera work

• Status, ensemble, and company-based working

• Useable filmed material for your showreel.

• Showcase performances in a professional theatre space, with the potential for invited industry guests — agents, casting directors, and directors — to attend and watch your work
